• The technique is called shutter drag and it is very hit or miss. It's essentially a longer than normal exposure with a flash at the end. I like it because it adds life to a photo when it works (which is only about 20 percent of the time) and looks (to my eye) much better than a frozen image against black. On the other hand - lots of out of focus and blurred photos
